Alex McTeague, better known as Sharp, is a playable Agent.
Sharp[]
Starting Equipment[]
Sharp's custom augment, Modular Cybernetic Frame, grants him a total of 6 augment slots (including the one it occupies). This number cannot be increased further at Cybernetic Grafters. Furthermore, it grants his melee attacks an additional point of KO damage for every three augments he has installed, extending the time guards remain unconscious. He begins with Hacking 2 and a standard Neural Disrupter.
Strategy[]
Due to his melee-based KO damage improvement, Sharp functions well as a melee specialist, with augments such as Penetration Scanner, Predictive Brawling, and Titanium Rods assisting in this role. (With five Titanium Rods and a tier-3 disrupter, he can knock out a guard for a whopping 10 rounds on Expert difficulty.) MicroSLAM augments, if available, can quickly return their investment, allowing for more money to be spent on Sharp.
Sharp arguably has the potential to be the most powerful agent in the game simply due to the fact that 2 KO damage and two more augment slots are likely to have more use than any individual unique augment or item. However, this increased power cap can only be reached with a high expenditure of credits, which are typically a finite resource outside of Endless mode, or frequent side trips to Cybernetics Labs.
Archive Banks provides an early, improved Econ Chip, which Sharp can make good use of thanks to his increased base hacking skill. Monst3r can reduce general costs at Nanofabs, allowing more augments to be bought.
Archive Sharp[]
Starting Equipment[]
Archive Sharp's custom augment, Modular Cybernetic Frame X2, is similar to the standard Modular Cybernetic Frame, but grants armor piercing rather than extra KO damage. It also permanently reduces his AP by 1, making him slower than other agents. He begins with Hacking 2 and a standard Neural Disrupter.
Strategy[]
Most of the above comments apply equally well to Archive Sharp; he is probably the character who changes the least between his two versions. He has a uniquely high potential for armor-piercing attacks; if you are able to fill all his augment slots, even a single Penetration Scanner will bring him to the crucial threshold where he can KO armor-3 guards. (If kitted out with five Penetration Scanners and handed an armor piercing weapon, he hits hard enough to bring down even a fully shielded OMNI Protector.)
